The property is situated in the south coast of Greenland, Kujalleq region, on the borders of Nanortalik Gold Belt, which is covered by several exploration licenses. Regional geochemical sampling was done by NunaOil A/S (NunaMinerals A/S) in 1990s and resulted in definition of a fault line.

Greenland Gold conducted terrain reconnaissance, geological mapping, geophysical and geochemical measurements and collected 12 samples in 2018, one sample (N6) returned Au @ 12g/t, remaining samples contained low concentrations of gold.
