A New Step in Finland – Vähäjoki License
SEG has taken another strategic step in expanding its portfolio across the Nordic region. In collaboration with our Finnish partner, Palsatech, we have initiated the administrative process to obtain the Vähäjoki exploration license in Finland.
The Vähäjoki area is located within the Paleoproterozoic Peräpohja Schist Belt and is historically known for occurrences of iron, copper, cobalt, and gold. Previous geological surveys have confirmed the presence of more than ten magnetite ore bodies containing strategic metals, including copper, cobalt, and gold. Particularly noteworthy are deposits where gold appears in combination with cobalt and copper, highlighting the site's significant exploration potential.
The locality also offers a strong logistical advantage due to its proximity to the towns of Tervola and Kemi, where Palsatech operates its service center. The area is well-connected via road and rail infrastructure, ensuring efficient support for future exploration work.
This step marks SEG’s official entry into the Finnish market, further strengthening our regional diversification and advancing our long-term goal: to build a strong and future-oriented portfolio focused on critical raw materials.
