Strategic Changes in the Licensing Portfolio of SEG a.s.
We are pleased to share updates on recent strategic adjustments to our licensing portfolio, based on thorough analyses and negotiations conducted in recent months. These steps reflect SEG a.s.'s commitment to sustainable and economically promising projects.
Key Portfolio Changes:
1. Discontinuation of Non-viable Licenses
Following detailed evaluations, we decided to terminate activities related to the Gudmedalen, Tosen 1, Tosen 2, and Salfjellett 1, 2, 3 licenses. The main reasons include:
• Unstable bedrock or technical obstacles.
• Significant environmental restrictions, such as reindeer protection zones.
• Negative stance from landowners and leaseholders.
2. Transformation and Optimization of Licenses
• Ovaldsnuten B: This license was transformed into a smaller, focused area, Ovaldsnuten C (1 km²), where negotiations regarding anatase deposits are ongoing.
• Fureviknipa: The license was optimized to cover 6 km². We are actively preparing a drilling campaign and seeking a strategic partner.
• Steinkrossen and Steinkrossen 1: These two licenses were merged into a single 10 km² area to enable more efficient exploration and preparation for mining.
3. Expansion of Promising Licenses
Building on the positive results from the Finlifjellet 1 area, we expanded our portfolio with the Finlifjellet 2 license. This region demonstrates exceptional potential for further development.
Our Vision
These changes reflect our long-term strategy focused on sustainability, efficient resource utilization, and environmental stewardship. Our goal is to secure licenses with the highest potential for future mining while delivering sustained value to our shareholders. SEG a.s. remains committed to exploring new opportunities that contribute to the growth and diversification of our portfolio.
